pls help with flash requests to php

Hi, I've some question about flash requests to php.
I'm using amfphp to call php functions inside of flash. I know that by default flash is waiting 30 sec, and if after 30 sec there is no response for flash request then flash dispatches NetStatusEvent. Pls tell me can I short that 30sec. to 5sec.?

This is a default in the Flash Player. 5 seconds is too short for a timeout really.

You can fudge it in Flash Player by initiating your own Timer instance, and then cancelling the RPC object if it doesn't complete before the timer completes.

I've maked function which is continously calling to server and created timer instance for that function to check if there is response or not. I think that is good solution.
